Back in the late 1980’s, a young man was struggling in a spare-parts shop he was operating in Kedah, Malaysia. He came from a disadvantaged background and had to put his education plans aside in order to support his family. He was, however, extremely bright and keen.
It just so happened that Tommy Teh, Dealer Sales Manager for UMW Equipment Malaysia, and his team were looking to start a Case® spare-parts dealership in Kedah. They found that this young man had the right attitude to run this dealership and the rest, we can say is history. UMW provided support and the means for him to begin this new venture. Soon, that young man was able to launch not only the dealership into a major parts distribution centre, but he also started a workshop to service machines. Apart from being a Million Dollar Club Member, today, his business is ranked amongst the top 5 performers in the sub dealers’ network.
It’s all about going Beyond Boundaries, going that extra mile... just because it’s the right thing to do.
