True story
Late one evening, UMW received a call from a desperate customer who needed immediate help in Mambau, a small town in Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. His team was working on one of the main water-lines for the township when one of his machines broke down. The customer was very troubled as he had no idea how to fix the machine. If the pipe wasn’t repaired, the town of Mambau would have no water!
Lua Peck Cheong, Senior Regional Manager for Central Sales at UMW and his team immediately set out to resolve the situation. To the customer’s relief, Lua’s team worked all night long and by the morning they were able to fix the machine, enabling the damaged water-line to be repaired. The dedicated technicians immediately returned to work that morning which impressed the customer greatly and he applauded UMW’s outstanding level of customer service!
